COVID-19 TESTING UPDATE

Our COVID-19 Assessment Centre offers testing for all those who meet Ontario's testing criteria. Appointments can be booked online using our new online booking tool. Walk-in assessments are available daily between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. (noon) or until capacity has been reached. Visit the Assessment Centre website to learn more.

Surgery - Family Presence Policy During COVID-19

Family Presence Policy

In-patient Surgery A5/B5

Daily visits for all patients.

 

Visitors are no longer limited to one designated / one alternate, however there is only one visitor permitted in a single day.

Clinic Appointments – Surgery , PAC, B6 & Fracture Clinic

Due to the limited space, to facilitate patient flow, safety and requirement for social distancing:

1 Escort /family member only if assistance is required i.e. mobility challenges or require translation (will be contacted to return to clinic when ready for discharge/ pickup).

Pre-op  G6/OR

Due to the limited space, to facilitate patient flow, safety  and requirement for social distancing:

Day Surgery & Day Over Patient: 1 Escort/Family member ONLY if assistance is required i.e. mobility challenges or require translation.

Ophthalmology : J6  

Due to the limited space, to facilitate patient flow, safety  and requirement for social distancing:

1 Escort / family member if assistance is required.  (Escort/ family member will be contacted to return to J6 when ready for discharge.

PCU- Post Op

Due to the limited space, to facilitate patient flow, safety  and requirement for social distancing:

 

Adult Patient:

Day Surgery Patient: 1 Escort/ Family member (will be contacted to arrive on G6 when patient is ready to be discharged)

 

PCU Pediatrics:

1 Parent/Guardian at all times.
