COVID-19 Vaccine: Second Dose Appointments

The Ontario government has announced an accelerated rollout of second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Please see below to learn more about populations eligible for a shortened dosing interval and instructions on how to book a second dose appointment with Michael Garron Hospital (MGH) and East Toronto Health Partners (ETHP).

Please note that appointments are available based on supply.

Book a second dose appointment

You are currently eligible to book a second dose appointment with MGH/ETHP if you live in a "M" postal code and if one of the following applies to you:

  • You received your first dose of an mRNA vaccine on or before May 9
  • You received your first dose of AstraZeneca at least 56 days ago
  • You are 70 years of age or older; have a high risk health condition; identify as First Nations, Inuit or Métis; or are a highest risk health care worker; and
    • Received your first dose of Pfizer at least 21 days ago; or
    • Received your first dose of Moderna at least 28 days ago; or
    • Received your first dose of AstraZeneca at least 56 days ago.

You do not need to have received your first dose with MGH/ETHP to book a second dose appointment with us.

If you would like to book your second dose appointment with MGH/ETHP by phone or have questions about your second dose appointment, please call our COVID-19 vaccine booking office at 437-537-5131.

Second dose appointments may also be booked through the provincial booking system online or by calling 1-833-943-3900. You may also book an appointment at a participating pharmacy.

If you are not yet eligible for a shortened dosing interval and you received your first dose at an MGH/ETHP COVID-19 immunization clinic or pop-up, we will contact you once you become eligible to book your second dose appointment.

MGH/ETHP are also working to plan more hot spot second dose clinics in priority neighbourhoods in our catchment area in the coming weeks. Please stay tuned and visit our mobile and pop-up clinics page for the latest updates.
